The Challenge

An international cruise line needed to optimize their systems such that they would reduce the likelihood of inadvertent pollution and accidents. Their industry, which has come under major scrutiny, has been aggressively identifying methods to enhance their operations through technology. They came to Valkyrie to identify how ML & AI could assist in their efforts.

The Solution

We analyzed vast amounts of onboard ship data in order to identify which processes were contributing to failures and accidents. Once those processes were identified we created forecasting models and predictive maintenance models to assist the client in a tactical solution.

The Outcome

With a successful phase 1, where major risks were mitigated, we entered into a long-term engagement with the client to continue to develop additional tools, a digital twin, and empirical procedures to help the firm move forward.
